Sierra Northern Railway Transloading

Sierra Northern Railway is a leading provider of transloading services, connecting customers to major U.S. and global markets through efficient and reliable rail transportation. One of our key advantages is that we own and operate our own transloading facilities, which means we can provide seamless and flexible solutions to meet customers’ unique needs.

Our transloading services include both bulk and break-bulk offerings, allowing customers to transfer goods between railcars, trucks, and other modes of transportation. We also offer unloading and loading services for a wide range of commodities, including grains, fertilizers, chemicals, and construction materials.

Oakdale

The Oakdale Division is home to a large 120 acre transload facility operated by our agent, Central Valley Ag Transloading. The Wamble Transload facility located on the Eastern edge of Oakdale can service products such as grain, bulk wood and fiber, fertilizer, steel, and most recently sea container loading and unloading. Within 30 minutes of Highway 99, you have quick access to California’s Central Valley.

West Sacramento

Our West Sacramento line has the capability to transload a variety of material such as grain, lumber and petroleum products in our yard located in the Port of Sacramento. Located at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Interstate 5, we are the gateway to the Greater Sacramento Area.

Ventura

On the Ventura Division, we currently transload lumber and mulch products in Santa Paula. As we continue to grow our operations in Ventura County, our team continues to actively seek out land to develop into a transload yard along the rail line and Highway 126 to give customers access to the Los Angeles region and beyond. Our successful experiences in Northern California afford us the ability to provide Southern California with the same cost-effective transportation of freight thereby lowering the cost of products for the end consumer.
